During the post-war years the US military recognized a need for a cost effective “high performance” aircraft capable of providing speed and maneuverability with efficient, cost effective operation with gentle flight characteristics to train new pilots. The US military turned to Beechcraft Aviation to modify their successful Bonanza into a tandem seat military trainer. After extensive use by the USAF training command, the T-34 was also operated by the civilian arm of the US Air Force auxiliary the Civil Air Patrol for search and rescue and liaison duties.
The new 1/48 scale Minicraft kit features detailed cockpit, extensive recessed and engraved surface detail and new distinctive Civil Air Patrol markings using decals printed by Cartograf. This kit also includes the Minicraft clear display stand for desktop “in flight” display.
